Hi all! I hope you’re all well on this gloomy November day. It’s Veterans’ day here in the USA (I’ll probably talk about this holiday in another post, just so I don’t get distracted). To all of you veterans out there, words can not convey my gratitude and appreciation for all that you do for this country and all of us, THANKS!
I am currently sitting on my bed with my husband lying next to me as I type. He is trying to doodle on his phone with a cheap stylus that we found in the abyss that are our bedside drawers. He saw me draw the train for the homepage and had to try it himself. After some brain storming of what I should write for my first blog, I decided to go with the obvious choice: why I decided to start a blog. So, without further ado, “here…we…go.”
I had a passing thought of creating a blog a few times, but it was never something I acted on. A few weeks ago Kenny, my husband, suggested that I may benefit from starting a blog. He thought it would be a great way to get my thoughts out and relieve some stress. We have been going through some hard times, and I’ve been stressing quite a bit, which usually makes me go into my shell and bottle things up. That response to stress is definitely not good in many ways, therefore I thought I’d try it, I’ve got nothing to lose, since journals don’t work for me. I tend to buy cute journals and just let them sit and collect dust after the first day of writing in them.
I think that most of my problem is that I start feeling like I alone am experiencing these hardships. So I hope that maybe someone out there who happens upon one of my posts can relate to what I am experiencing and know that they are not alone. Don’t worry though, not all of my posts will be negative. I’ll share some of my happy, sad, trying, inspiring, and exciting moments with you all, as well as some of my attempts at DIY projects, crafts, and recipes.
I hope you join me as I chug-chug upon this unpredictable train track of life.
